Over the same 10-year period, the Kenya Revenue Authority collected Ksh 13.3 trillion in tax revenue.

The gap between expenses and revenue?
Ksh 14.6 trillion (expenditures) – Ksh 13.3 trillion (revenue) = Ksh 1.3 trillion deficit.

This figure suggests Kenya only needed to borrow Ksh 1.3 trillion to bridge the gap—yet official debt figures show that Ksh 6.4 trillion was borrowed over that same decade.

That leaves a chilling Ksh 5.1 trillion unaccounted for.

Zagga Obtains US Work Permit Amidst Charting

 Dancehall-Reggae artist Zagga has obtained his US work permit after a 6-year hiatus amidst his latest single charting in 28 countries, making it onto Bobby Konders’ radio show and selected as a Fresh Pick of the Month on Billboard. The track, ‘All My Life’ featuring Jahmiel, debuted at number 27 on the US iTunes Reggae Singles Chart within hours of its release and has been receiving heavy rotation on various radio stations around the world.

Aside from making it onto Bobby’s Massive B New York New Music playlist which airs on Hot 97 in New York City, ‘All My Life’ also made it into rotations on Get With The Fix Radio in New Jersey, Zip 103, Fyah 105 and RJR 94 FM in Jamaica, Maad FM and Hits and Jams in Guyana, Island Heat Show in Atlanta, The Beat FM and NIE Radio in New York, Afro-Caribbean Radio in Zimbabwe, Radio Rabe in Switzerland and several radio stations across the UK.
