The collaboration came about through a mutual connection, JDon, who introduced both artists. Their chemistry was instant, making a collaboration the natural next step.

The recording process was very easy because from I sent Valiant the riddim, he liked it and started sending ideas for the chorus to me,” Versi shared. “So I did my verses and got it mixed.”

Crowned With Courage: Lucy’s Journey as a Mom, Model, and Spoken Word Queen

At just 22 years old, Lucy is living proof that a woman can be many things at once. A proud single mom from Kiambu, Kenya, she is not just raising her child but also raising the bar for young women chasing their dreams. Lucy is a freelance model, writer, and spoken word artist whose life is a perfect blend of art, resilience, and inspiration.

Her modeling journey began with a love for fashion and photography, where she found confidence and a stage to express herself visually. But Lucy’s artistry doesn’t stop with the lens — through her writing and spoken word, she unpacks emotions and tells stories that touch the soul. “Modeling is how I show my confidence visually, and spoken word is how I speak my truth. Together, they represent who I am,” she shares passionately.

Motherhood has been her most transformative role. “Being a single mom at 22 has taught me patience, resilience, and the power of chasing dreams not just for myself, but for my child,” she says.

Outside her creative work, Lucy loves fitness, traveling, and immersing herself in new cultures, which keeps her inspired and energized. Her journey has not been easy — balancing motherhood, challenging stereotypes, and proving herself in competitive industries — but Lucy’s message remains clear: self-belief and consistency are key.

She dreams of modeling internationally and performing her spoken word on bigger stages, inspiring women everywhere. “Motherhood doesn’t end your dreams… it strengthens them. If I can do it, so can you,” Lucy says with unwavering conviction.
